It is always very interesting to observe the “day-after” a Presidential election. Especially so when the candidates polarize the country. It never ceases to amaze me how the group whose candidate has lost, assumes that the winning candidate, and constituency, will treat them in the same manner that they would have treated the “losers” had they won. The 2016 Presidential election must be the cause of the worst case of “projection” I have ever seen.

Take solace, Hillary disciples, in this: We are not You. Let that sink in. You will be treated with the same rights and respect that every other citizen has and is guaranteed in the US Constitution. Read it thoroughly and understand it. It is not very complicated. What you will witness is the shrinking of government intrusion; increased personal responsibility and accountability; loyalty and assistance to those inside our borders first, and other countries second; no special rights or privileges for groups or individuals. Those that choose to break our laws will be dealt with per the law.

All of us that voted are citizens of the United States of America and will be treated as such. We are currently treated as voting blocks. We will all have full-use of all the rights and protections secured by the US Constitution and enforced by the rule of law. We are currently not treated equally, with some allowed to openly trample laws and regulations while others are prosecuted. To quote Frank Zappa, “The United States is a nation of laws, badly written and randomly enforced” and that is 100% true right now, but will change under the new administration.

In summary, if you are looking for special privileges because of social or political rank, if you are a current beneficiary of very selective law enforcement, or someone who wants rights and privileges above every other US Citizen, changes are coming and you have a lot of choices to make in the next 75 days or so.

PS: If you are one of those many people who proclaimed in the public media that you would leave the country if Donald Trump was elected, it’s time to put up or shut up. Unless, just like Hillary, your word means nothing.

The Day After
