I recently read a story about how someone I know very well started and grew her own business from nothing to very successful, without any assistance from anyone…ever. That’s complete bullshit, of course, but it would be slightly awkward and uncharacteristic of her to tell the truth, namely that there would be no business if not for her ex-husband and his job, benefits and credit that supported her business until they divorced (that’s another story), not to mention the many the people she at one time called friends, that helped untold hours over many years of her business taking baby-steps forward.

I do find karma, or whatever you want to call people seemingly getting what they gave others, is a true bitch though. Let’s just say that he ex-husband has never been happier thanks to God and the help and support of his friends and family, especially the friends that are like family! The ex-wife is finding out that the future repays you in-kind, in-spades, with no way to avoid it. Bad decisions always come home to roost and the consequences can be dire. The ex-husband learned this about 10-15 years ago and tried to help her find the high-road; he finally gave up and has now moved on.

The moral of the story is to always give credit where it is due and if you do screw-up, make amends before karma smacks you down hard. Secondly, let God be your guide through all aspects of your life. Follow those two simple rules and you will always be where you are supposed to be, doing what you are supposed to be doing, with the people you are supposed be with.

God bless and good night.
